I am a perfumer, and I first learnt about malotira tea when I had to make a unique Scent of Greece 3 years ago for a Client. I could only read about it's aroma and imagined what it smells like. I bought this tea recently from Ail and May, I never found it in Australia. This tisane was the one I was most excited to try as I had never heard of Greek Mountain tea. It was recommended to taste with honey however I went with no additions and enjoyed the tea on its own. The herb itself it quite interesting to look at, mini flowers on stems and very light in weight. I brewed for the recommended time and was excited to find how nice this tea was. My first thought was chamomile and mint but that was only the superficial notes, after another sip I was yet again met with these two flavours but a citrus note came in to join the flavour which was a pleasant surprise. I know the recommendation is to have with honey but I encourage those to try without first and then with honey a second time around. Very happily surprised with this tea.
